COSA PASSA IL CONVENTO

"Cosa passa il Convento" is a project of a culturaltourismset along Marca Aleramica, the border territory (March) that lies between Monferrato and Alba and Monregale Langhe, throughtRoero and Western Liguria. Nevertheless, some itineraries extend far beyond these territories - the unique tours along the ancient pilgrimage routes are aimed at accompanying visitors to discover art, environment and gourmet treasures.
An area rich in works of art that witness both cultural and natural beuties of an extraordinatary land usually bypassed by main tourist tours - and thus made mach more fascinating and enchanting. The "Cosa passa il Convento" itinerary common thread consists of the elements that builds up the religious and spiritual dimension of convents in the collective imagery - a thread characterized by peculiar history, art, ethics and economics hints.
Unique guided visits to art and worshipplaces are enriched by events that will leave unforgettable emotions to visitors - theatrical performaces, multimedia exhibitions, historical talks, convent located dinners, small brotherly agapi (community banquets) to taste local gourmet delicacies.
Tourists have the chance to enjoy exhibitions and entertainment events, to discover sacred places and locations, which reveal unexpected beauties, and to taste simple but genuine food. "Cosa paasa il Convento" is a yearly project to be held along enchanting themed itinerary between spring and autumn. At its first edition, "Cosa passa il Convento" 2009 is centred on itinerary in the footsteps of Saint Pius V(1504-1572) and PIus VII (1742-1823) - two popes who were born in these lands.
